A foreign land was born in Rycom in 1954.
An American photographer captures Okinawa in America's golden age.

Plaza House Shopping Center was established in 1954, and will celebrate their 66th anniversary this July.
The photo exhibit features photographs from its founding, as well as the culture and design from the 1950's.
Although the exhibit is being held in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to dedicate the event in rememberance to the overflowing energy of that generation.

・Culture (the Jazz movement, the Ryukyu-American culture)
・Design (architecture, furniture, cars...mid-century inspired designs galore!)

Photos of Plaza House Shopping Center's opening ceremony will also be exhibited.
