The exhibition features photos, videos, sound files, and other related materials of Hirokazu Matsuda, who contributed greatly to the development of Okinawan folk music during his more than 60 years of performing!

Profile: Hirokazu Matsuda
Born in Chatan Town on May 3, 1947
He started playing the sanshin when he was 10 years old, and became a sanshin player and singer for the Jagaru eisa dance group when he was a high school student.
In the more than 60 years of his performing career that followed, he produced more than 300 songs, served as president of the Ryukyu Music Association, and contributed greatly to the development of Okinawan folk music. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 72.
