"Autumn Zoo Night 2022" at Okinawa Zoo & Museum will be held in October!
The zoo will extend its hours to 8 p.m. every Saturday in October♪

Enjoy the long autumn nights at Okinawa Zoo's "Autumn Zoo Night." Enjoy the season of learning, art, and many other things.

【Autumn Zoo Night 2022 Activities and Workshops】

《Workshop》

Let's make animal lanterns to gently light up the zoo at night!
We have added the 2022 Autumn Zoo version design to the workshop, and you can choose any design you like.

《Petting Zoo》
During Autumn Zoo Night, nocturnal animals (like the sugar glider and the Ryukyu scops owl) will be exhibited, and the regular petting zoo with guinea pigs and rabbits will be suspended during the night.
Sheep feeding (¥100): 17:30-18:30

《Horse Park Area》
Goat feeding (¥200): 18:00-19:00
※Will finish when food runs out.

《Wonder Museum "Chokkin to Pettan" 》
・Special keychain craft kit (¥400)

《Kiddie Ride Area》
・Train ride, Merry-go-round (¥200): until 19:15
・Mini cars (¥100): until 19:30

【Animal Tour】

A tour of the animals will be held throughout the zoo area!

・17:30 Hippopotamus
・18:00 Ryuku flying foxes
・19:00 Hippopotamus, siamese crocodiles, and sun bear

・18:30 Jaguar, Ryukyu scops owl
※The tour of the scops owl will be held at the petting zoo.

★The crocodile area will be a one-way traffic during October 1 to 29.
★Please refrain from shining any light at the animals or using flash on your camera or smartphone to photograph them. The animals may be startled and injured.

【Special Autumn Zoo Night Event】

《Night Amusement Park》
Have some fun with mini rides, food, drinks, and game booths!
■Dates: Saturdays, October 1 and 8, 10:00-19:30 (tentative)
■Location: Water & Green Square, Hibiscus Area

《RIMO》
You can try out Segway and electric kickboards.
■Date/Time: Every Saturday in October *Time to be determined.
■Location: Water & Green Square area

《Saturday Snack and Zoo》
How about a delicious snack at the zoo in autumn?
Cafes (5 to 10 stores) mainly in Okinawa City will gather to offer visitors a chance to taste sweets (macaroons, cookies, etc.) with animal motifs.

17:00: Amur leopard cat, Tsushima leopard cat, common squirrel monkey, tufted capuchin, Ryukyu wild boar (male), and Okinawa native chicken.
※Indian elephants can be viewed indoors from 17:00.
