World Elephant Day special event

"World Elephant Day" was established on August 12, 2012 by Canadian film director Patricia Sims and the Thai conservation group (Elephant Reintroduction Foundation) to call for conservation of elephants around the world. Why don't you take this opportunity to learn more about elephants and learn about the current situation about elephants in the wild! At the event, a zookeeper will give a special guide for World Elephant Day, and everyone will think about why elephants are on the verge of extinction. A backyard tour of the elephant enclosure will also be held! In addition to a panel exhibition related to World Elephant Day and an exhibition of the work of elephant keepers, original goods will also be on sale.

[World Elephant Day Special Backyard Tour] (advance reservations required)
A keeper guides you through a room made for elephants. Participants will also receive a bookmark made of elephant poop paper!
Date and time: Both days from 14:00
■Price: 1,500 yen *The price is for one person.
■ Target: Elementary school students and above
■Clothes: You cannot participate in sandals. Please come with athletic shoes.
*Because the keeper's passage in the elephant house is not wide, strollers cannot be brought.
