The exhibition in July will highlight wood carving artist Atsuto Yasumoto's works.♪

Yasumoto was born in Nara Prefecture and trained as a Buddhist sculptor in Kyoto and Toyama.
In 2020, he moved to Okinawa, where he has been fascinated by the nature, history, and culture of Okinawa. He creates works with motifs of Okinawa, such as sea and land creatures, people, and festivals.
As a woodcarver, he is also involved in the restoration of "Chuzan Seido," a flat plaque in the main hall of Shuri Castle.

Koza Crafts Shop Fundou (pronounced "Foondoo") is an antenna shop for craftsmen in Okinawa City, displaying and selling ceramics, woven and dyed goods, glassware, and other items made by members of the Okinawa City Crafts Industry Promotion Association.
