2024 Winter Tournament: Okinawa Grand Sumo Tournament will be held
to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Okinawa City!

The “2024 Winter Tournament: Okinawa Grand Sumo Tournament at Okinawa Arena, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Okinawa City's incorporation as a municipality” will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Okinawa Arena.
In addition to Yokozuna Terunofuji, Ozeki Toyoshoryu, Kotozakura, and Sekiwake Onosato, approximately 200 rikishi will participate in this year's Okinawa Tournament, and the winner will be decided in a tournament format different from that used in regular tournaments. On the day of the tour, you will not only be able to watch the heated matches up close, but also enjoy the “Shokkiri,” a comical demonstration of sumo's forbidden moves, “Sumo Jinku,” sung by the rikishi, and many local Okinawan kitchen cars will be set up.
There will also be a “Sumo Jinku” sung by sumo wrestlers.
