Okinawa flourished for 450 years as the Ryukyu Kingdom and nurtured its own unique culture and customs.
The Ryukyu Kingdom held court events and ceremonies, and entertained important guests with magnificent court cuisine.
This special event will be held at Furusatoen, a nationally registered cultural asset located in the Okinawa Zoo park, to bring the traditions and culture of the Ryukyu Kingdom back to the present day.
Enjoy Ryukyuan courtly sweets and bukubuku tea while learning how to use beautiful chopsticks and kaishi paper.
