For 450 years, Okinawa flourished as the Ryukyu Kingdom, nurturing a distinctive culture and traditions of its own. Through court ceremonies, rituals, and the elegant cuisine served to honored guests, the royal court expressed its refinement and hospitality. This special event revives the traditions and cultural heritage of the Ryukyu Kingdom in a modern setting. It will be held at Furusato Garden, a nationally registered cultural property located within Okinawa Zoo & Museum. While learning how to use beautiful chopsticks and kaishi paper, enjoy Ryukyuan court sweets and bukubuku tea in a graceful and historic atmosphere.
