Okinawa City

- Located 20 km north of Naha City, in the Chubu region of Okinawa Main Island.

- Population: about 142,600 (second largest in Okinawa Prefecture), Total area: of 49.00m²

- Approximately 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport using the expressway. Exit at Okinawa Minami IC or Okinawa Kita IC.
- Buses to and from Naha Bus Terminal are also available.

- Origin of the City's Name
- In 1974, former Koza City and former Misato Village merged. The new city name was chosen by public vote.
Uruma City

- Located 25 km northeast of Naha City on the east coast, in the Chubu region of Okinawa Main Island.
- Population and Size
- Population: 125,000 (3rd largest in Okinawa Prefecture), Total area: 86.08m²

- Origin of the City's Name
- The name is derived from the Okinawan word "Uruma" meaning "Island of Coral."
