The owner, Mr. Arakaki, is the innovator of the ""kyokahari"" (strengthened covering) method of sanshin production. Prone to wear and cracking, the fragile sanshin body is given a double coating consisting of synthetic fibers and genuine leather, resulting in the same rich sound, but greater strength and durability. Order made sanshin are available starting from ¥30,000. This store is also popular with professional musicians.
