A Japanese sake bar where you can discover the taste of Niigata!
Essa is located inside the arcade shopping center right off Gate 2 Street in Okinawa City. The bar's chic Japanese style entrance has a wooden signboard with "越佐" engraved into it.
The bar's name is derived from the channel between Niigata Prefecture (where the owner is originally from) and Sado Island.
Inside you'll find a lineup of Niigata sake direct from the prefecture, including rare brands that are hard to come by.
From the refreshing and smooth flavors to more fruity ones, there are a wide range of Japanese sake that are distinctively "made in Niigata."
You can also enjoy special dishes made with ingredients from Niigata Prefecture, many that are not availabe here on Okinawa.
