Sumiyoshi Youth Association
Top Okinawan folk musician, Seijin Noborikawa, helps to supervise the dancing and singing of this group. Characteristics of this group are the elaborate structure of their performances and the combining of new Paranku Eisa dance formations with powerful dances using the roped taiko drum. Started in 1959, the group disbanded in 1980 but are now going strong since they regrouped in 1999.
